In the kitchen I was a little worried that having all of the door panels made of wood would look a little overwhelming so I decided to make the doors of two of the cupboards with stained glass.
The windows in the kitchen and dining room needed something for visual privacy but neither curtains or blinds looked good. So the solution was to make stained glass panels for the windows. Some of the windows are opening casement so the panels had to be securely fasted to the sash. This was accomplished by soldering the panels to a 1/8″x 3/8″ brass frame and fastening it to the sash by small brass hinges on one side and small hooks on the other. This allows the stained glass panels to be opened for cleaning the windows.
The pendant stained glass lights (there are 5) are in the living room.
